The Peralada Castle Museum is located in an old Carmelite convent that dates back to the 14th Century.
Visitors can see the Castle's private collections: the library, with almost 100,000 publications; the thousand-piece pottery collection; the glass collection which, with 2,500 pieces, is considered one of the most important in Spain and one of the biggest in the world gathered by a single owner; the cloister, with its collection of stone engravings; the Gothic church with its 14th Century coffered ceiling; and the Wine Museum, with an extensive exhibition of wine-related objects dating back to the 14th Century.
The visit ends in the Convent's wine cellar where Gran Claustre cava is still produced today.
